Community-Led Organization
There's always a solution for every problem. We support cancer patients by teaching coping skills for managing treatment side effects — where compassion meets innovation.
Our Story
Warrior Afya Network began as Warrior Glow — a response to the human side of cancer care.
We saw that healing is more than treatment. It is dignity. It is community. It is movement, learning, and hope.
What began as creative and psychosocial support grew as we listened. Our community needed prevention. Research. Joy. Advocacy. Spaces to move and breathe again.
And so Warrior Glow expanded into Warrior Afya Network — a broader commitment to whole-person health across the cancer journey.
What remains unchanged is our heart.
We are grounded in empathy, guided by collaboration, and committed to building wellness together.
What Drives Us

Delivering holistic, patient-centered services across prevention, treatment, survivorship, and advocacy
Educating communities through workshops, campaigns, and participatory engagement
Fostering multidisciplinary partnerships with healthcare professionals, institutions, and community stakeholders
Advancing innovation in cancer awareness, care, research, and community-led solutions
"To create a holistic, empowering cancer experience through empathy, holistic service and innovation."
What We Believe
Creating a compassionate, supportive environment where every patient feels seen, heard, and valued.
Providing practical support and resources that make a tangible difference in patients' daily lives.
Exploring new approaches and technologies to continuously improve the quality of holistic care.
Integrating care across disciplines to address the full spectrum of patient needs holistically.
What We Do
Three pillars guide everything we do — from the bedside to the community to the research table.
We believe healing happens in community. Through creative, psychosocial, and group-based experiences, we create space for patients, survivors, and caregivers to connect, rest, and grow.
Monthly skill-building and psychosocial sessions for patients, survivors, and caregivers — our longest-running and most impactful programme.
Themed gatherings celebrating joy and connection through the cancer journey — held across key seasonal moments each year.
Peer-led support sessions in partnership with Faraja Cancer Trust, offering a consistent space for women living with breast cancer.
Craft-based therapy evenings of making breast prosthetics blending creativity, warmth, and community connection in a relaxed group setting.
Focused on students bonding and creating harmony within the student community through expressive arts.
A dedicated, safe space for men navigating cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery — where vulnerability meets strength.
Wellness begins before diagnosis. We meet communities where they are — through movement, education, and celebration — building awareness and resilience from the ground up.
Ongoing social media campaigns keeping our community informed, engaged, and empowered year-round.
Our annual awareness drive during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, combining education, outreach, and community activation.
A social media-led drive to promote HPV vaccination as a key tool in cervical cancer prevention.
Education and advocacy around breastfeeding as a health and wellness pillar, particularly in relation to breast cancer risk reduction.
Fitness sessions directed towards the student community while generating some income for the organisation.
Recreational events bringing joy and connection to patients at Kenyatta National Hospital.
We were participating as excibitors getting a chance to showcase what we do with the rest of the medical student community

Social evenings fostering connection, laughter, and community — because joy is also medicine.
A men's health awareness campaign championing self-care, early detection, and breaking the silence around men and cancer.
Focused educational sessions on men's health, cancer risk factors, and pathways to wellness and early care.
We collaborate, present, and advocate to advance cancer care beyond the bedside. Our institutional partnerships and research engagements drive evidence-informed, community-led change.
